The Sun Inn is a historic building opposite the Beverley Minster. The place to go for the determined beer lover or for anyone wanting excellent food and live music. Dating back to 1530 this is believed to be the oldest pub in Beverley and the East Riding. It is certainly one of the most attractive, inside you will find an atmospheric pub with much of the original building on display, with an exposed medieval ceiling, coal fires in the main bar and cosy snug areas, with wildly worn stone floors.

You will find the pub has a array of excellent real ales always available and a really nice homely feel with a large courtyard to the rear and stunning views of the east end of the Beverley Minster. A nice place to eat and drink and enjoy yourself.

The Sun Inn is Beverleys No.1 live music and entertainment venue. Hosting the best in local and national talent every week. With live music four nights a week and Saturday and Sunday afternoons, also every third Sunday of the month.

Saturday afternoon Live Acoustic Music session (Guitars, fiddles, banjo, squeeze box etc..). Sunday afternoon Folk Session. Every third Sunday Rythum & Blues Night (featuring the District Blues Band).

Friday 5th March 2010: NEW VISION. Hull based band New Vision

are a three piece covers band covering such bands as

Police,U2,James,Kings of Leon,Stereophonics and many

more.James plays lead guitar and does the vocals with Andy on

bass and Ted on drums.A great band to set your weekend off!!

info at the moment)Great comments on the Sun web site after they

last played here.Check it out!

Saturday 6th March 2010: RELOADED.You people are getting spoilt

this weekend!!! A double wammy of terrific music with Reloaded

rounding off the Saturday night with numbers from the Beatles,the

Kinks,T.Rex,Blur,Kaiser Chiefs and I dare say a bit of Kings of Leon

thrown in for good measure.The place will be rocking all weekend

with both bands filling the pub to the rafters.The atmosphere’s going

to be electric!!

Tuesday night is open mic night and this week,being the 2nd

Tuesday of the month there will be a featured guest.This week it's the

turn of the one man band that is Phil Wilson.Regular goers to the

open mic nights will know him well with his array of electronic gagetry

and the marvellous sounds that he produces.Phil hasn't been in for a

week or two so we can only presume he's been at home working on

some new material for this night.There will still be opportunity for

others to play if you would like to show off your talents,if you just like

to come and listen then it all begins around 8.30

highlighting the intricacies of the Ueillean Pipes A very talented guy

    Saturday 27th February 2010: VIGILANTE.Ched and the guys return with
   their own inimitable style of rock and blues classics.One thing you can be
   sure of is when Vigilante play here you can expect the unexpected!

    Saturday and Sunday music sessions are attracting new musicians to
    play traditional and folk music just for the fun of it.Starting around 4.00pm
    come along and enjoy some of the most talented musicians in the country.

    Tuesday night at the Sun Inn is open mic night inviting anyone to come along
    and join the Beverley Open Mic Knights in an informal atmosphere to sing/play
    or just enjoy the evening.The open mic nights begin around 8.30 and people of
    all abilities are welcome.

    Wednesday nights feature an evening enjoying the complexities of theUillean
    pipes played with great dexterity by Jed and supported by friends on banjo,
    mandolin,whistle,melodion.Starting around 8.30 it's a great opportunity to
    hear the pipes played at their best.
